The fun part about this course is...well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you'll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver.
To finish the PADI Open Water Course you must complete Phase 3 the Open Water Dives, which consist of four dives at Gilboa Quarry or at a local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
In the Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear including a buoyancy control device, tank, regulators, and gauges. The equipment you wear will be chosen by a AQUATIC ADVENTURES Representative to ensure your comfort throughout the course.
Personal Dive Gear You Will Need
You are required to have your own scuba quality mask, fins, boots, snorkel and exposure suit as these are personal fitting items. Aquatic Adventures staff is here to help you in selecting the proper fitting equipment for your diving needs. Your comfort is one of our main priorities, if you find that your gear selection is inadequate for your diving needs, we will happily exchange it for something else in our scuba selection. In the unlikely event you don’t complete the course, we’ll buy them back. We are that sure that you’ll enjoy our course

Open Water Diver materials cover what you need to know about basic scuba diving skills, terminology and safety procedures. For each concept you'll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you'll jump in the pool to practice these skills with your instructor.
PADI Open Water Course
Your journey begins with reserving your place in a class. To minimize classroom time and focus on getting in the water, much of the academic material is covered through independent study with the Open Water Diver course materials which you receive when you sign up for the class.
At Aquatic Adventures of MI, we like to keep our class sizes small. At some dive shops twelve people in a class might be the average, however that's considered large at Aquatic Adventures of MI . We try to average six to eight students per class. Smaller class sizes allows for a better Instructor to student ratio allowing for a greater understanding of the Open Water materials!
